Kevin Pan

Kevin is an engineer and an aspiring professional model. He loves hitting the track and shooting hoops in his spare time. The location for this shoot was shot at Kesar Stadium, where he was inspired to show off his training regimen.

Kevin's HIIT workouts are a part of his daily routine. When he presented the idea, Kevin gave me creative freedom to try some unique angles. I gave him direction to go about his regular warmup routine and overemphasize his movements. I wanted to give Kevin a wide array of different angles, both close ups and wider perspective shots to show his viewers not only how he does his workouts, where his viewers can get inspiration to replicate them.

Shooting during early golden hour, we got a plethora of lighting choices from harsh light with distinct shadows to that wonderful soft light this time of the day is known for. My favorite photo is his picture performing a pushup. From the split lighting to his gaze,  the viewer can feel his intensity and his commitment to his routine.

One of my favorite aspects about working with Kevin is his willingness to experiment. We came into the shoot with a general direction and bounced off creative ideas together to create  a look that is true to his personal brand.
